Blake Levin

1997 ~ 2009

Blake Jameson Levin, age 12, returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Primary Children's Hospital of complications from heart surgery. Blake was born January 7, 1997 in American Fork to Angela Levin.

Blake had an unconditional love for everyone and everyone loved him. He had a smile that was contagious and made everyone around him happy. Blake enjoyed the smallest things in life, especially his bucket of toys. He attended Pleasant Grove Junior High School and Cedar Ridge Elementary. He loved swimming, camping, singing, dancing, and being the center of attention.

Blake was very sensitive to the emotions and feelings of those around him. He was always the peacemaker in the family and insisted on group hugs including everyone.

He is survived by his mother, Angie; sister, Jaycee; best friend, Denny; grandparents: Ralph and Debbie Levin; great grandparents, Fred and Trudi Levin all of Pleasant Grove and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Burt and Maxine Seely.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manila Third Ward Chapel, 3943 North 900 West, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call for a viewing Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com .

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to any branch of Wells Fargo Bank in Blake's name.

Our lives will not be the same without you Blake. We love you!

Korbin's First homecoming!

On September 19, 2009 Korbin had his first homecoming!! I can't believe how fast he has grown up! He had a blast! He went with His best friend Colten, His two cousins Tanner and Jackson and one of his friends Tom! They made shirts together and then went Lazar tagging! They all looked so cute! After, They had dinner at my parents! After a crazy day of getting it all together it turned out really cute!

What an amazing day, with some of my favorite people ever!! We started out our day eating at Zupas. (BEST PLACE EVER) and then went to the What a Women Wants.. I wish I could have stayed there all day! They had some pretty awesome stuff! and then we went to the Women's conference. As I sat at the conference center surrounded by amazing women I realized how much i need to work on myself! I was able to go with my family and some of Ryan's family. (My mom, Ryan's mom, Camalee, Jonique, BreAnne and my Girls) These woman are such examples to me each day of my life. Each shows me strength in trails and in the gospel. I was so blessed to spend the day with them! We defiantly made some memories! Special thanks to Cam for making and AWESOME adventure on the way home! ;)

Football season started and our lives got busy! We love going to support Kyson and watch him grow so much. He has been doing amazing this year in football! It is the cutest thing to see him out there. He looks to little! I get very nervous watching him get tackled. But he doesn't even care. He just goes and goes and goes. GOOD JOB KYSON!

What a blessing Ryans family has in his Mother....she left her own parents and family 50 years ago with a small baby(Ralph) to live the American dream and to give her own Children a life with Freedom. I wonder many times if I would have ever been able to do the things she has done, come to a country not knowing anyone. Trudi Levin is an amazing women who loves her children and grandchildren enough that fifty years ago she came to America for each of them....So on September 16th we celebrated by hanging up signs and doing her tradition of ballons(fifty of them) all around her yard. We then where able to go for a family get together and be with her on her special day. We love you Trudi!!! You are our American Hero!!!! Thank you for all you do for all of us each and everyday.

Before our lives got really busy I wanted to take the kids up to Snowbird. So one Saturday we drove up there and tried it out! We had a blast! It was fun to be together and have a fun day! We rode the slide (it's like the Alpine slide), did the zip line, rode the mechanical bull and walked through October Fest!

Two of our nephews have been called to serve missions! Wyatt Levin has been called to serve in New Zealand. He will be serving the same mission as his dad Ric. Jay Smack has been called to Argentina. He will be serving the same mission as Tabor! They will barley miss each other! Jay will be going in and Tabor will be coming home! Wyatt and Jay will both be leaving in January! I'm so grateful for the examples they have been to my boys! You will be missed boys!!

STRAWBERRY DAYS!!

My whole family loves Strawberry days! It is one of our favorite holidays! We love being able to be with the family for a whole week! This year it was only Me, JJ and Jenica! The boys went to Idaho for wrestling! Korbin did AWESOME once again!! I forgot to send a Camera with the boys so i don't have picutres! But we are so proud of Korb. His practice is paying of! He took first in Freestlye and Second in Grecco! Nationals is a hard tournment but we knew Korbin could do it!! For Strawberry days the Kids went to the Carnival on wednesday just before the boys had to leave! They had so fun!

Then on Thursday we went to the Rodeo to watch Chase and Hudson do the Muttin Bustin! I forgot how fun the Rodeo was! I loved it! We actually ended up going both Thursday and Friday! Thursday we went with Omi, Opa, Bre, Matt and Coopy! and Friday we went with Tyler, Lyndsie, Mandie, Craig, Angie and Blake! Thanks everyone for making it so fun for us!!

P.S I'm already counting down the days for next years rodeo just so i can have a Rodeo hamburger again!

On Saturday we went to the Parade with my family! I love the parade. This year was perfect weather! Not to hot not to cold! The girls had fun being with their cousin and seeing the Parade! The kids have such good spirit and make anything fun! I love how close they are with their cousins! On both sides! It makes family parties so much better! We love our families!!

Our "Fun Tuesday" the past couple of weeks have been a blast!! Last week we were able to go down the blow up water slides! These are so fun! Not only for little kids! Me, JJ, Jenica, Brock, Trevor and Tanner even played of them and had a blast! The kids did relay races, played tag, raced down and up the sides and just hung out! It was so fun! The water was FREEZING but worth it!

Two weeks ago we went down to Huck Finn days! Pleasant Grove City puts on a free fun place for the kids to go have fun! They can fish, do doughnut walks, show tricks, face painting and so much more! The kids had so fun! They got to do everything there! We have gone to Huck Finn days for a VERY long time and have never been disapointed!

Three weeks ago we hiked to the G mountain! I was a little nervous at first but the kids did great!! We all made it to the top with no tears! I totally forgot how steep those hills were! It was totally worth it! I loved how the kids got so excited to be at the top with the G! All the kids kept saying the cutest things! Here are some we remembered!

Jenica graduated on May 29! We are so proud of her! She had a very hard senior year, so we are glad she is away from the high school! But we are still sad she is done! I can't believe I am half way done with high school! I just don't feel this old! :( We had a great day with Jen! Her and my nephew Kaden were graduating so we did a lunch at my parents house! It turned out way cute! i didn't get picture of the lunch but i did get some at graduation!!

Jenica had her last prom on May 2. She went with her boyfriend Trevor! They had a blast! She also got to go with her cousin Tanner! Every dance she went to this year her cousin Tanner was in her group! We love having our family so close! For their day date they went four wheeling! It was pouring rain but they loved it!

Tuesday Fun!!

Every Tuesday we let the kids try something new! This week we took them ice blocking! It was a blast! They all did great! It was fun to see all the kids try something they have never done! If you have never gone ice blocking YOU NEED too! After we went ice blocking we went down to the park! The kids love helping the little ones go down the slide! The summer has been so fun and we have been able to do a lot with kids! We love having the kids in our lifes!

DAY 3

When we were walking down the Blvd a guy was handing out FREE Dr. Phil tickets! Once again we BIG fans of Dr. Phil! So Me and Ryan took the girls to see the show! We got to see two episodes get filmed! It was really cool to be apart of something like that! and I finally have to admit i have OCD! One episodes was about OCD and i kept relating to everything Dr. Phil would talk about!
After we went back to the hotel and just relaxed.

DAY 4
While we were walking the Blvd. people kept asking us to take a tour. So we decided to get up and take a tour! We were able to see 15 different stars homes and HOLLYWOOD Mountain! We were also able to ride in a limo! It was very fun! The Beverly Hills Sign

After going on the tour it was time to go home! We had a really fun time and can't wait til next spring break! At the end the boys decided to switch places! Korbin would take pictures but Kyson wouldn't! Oh the joy of having teenaged boys! On the way to the airport the kids were making us so laugh hard. They were trying to make these ugly faces and boy did they!

On the way to our house Kyson had to go the bathroom so bad! We had to pull over on the freeway and let him go!

DAY 2

The kids really wanted to see the L.A. Temple! So before we went to the Hollywood Blvd we stopped and took some pictures. The L.A. temple is very pretty. It was so quiet and so spiritual.

After the temple we found our way to Hollywood Blvd. The kids were so excited to see the stars on the sidewalk. When we were walking we saw Hooters! Kyson really wanted to go in so we did! I think we made his whole year! Our family is a BIG fan of the reality show, Big Brother! It is one of our favorite thing to watch in the summer! While we were eating we saw Dan, the winner of last year eating with one the other players, Keisha! We had to get a picture!

After we got done eating we started walking the Blvd. We saw that the premier for 17 again was about to start! which means ZAC EFRON would be there! The girls didn't care how long it would be we just HAD to wait! The street was FULL of people waiting! The girls had to stand up against the window to see him! It was a lot harder then it looks.

After a long wait he finally came! The girls just about died! He was 7 feet ahead of them! They got pictures but they came out blurry beacause he was moving, and they were shaking!
When we started walking up the Blvd. these guys were taking pictures with people and the girls just had to get a picture too, just incase they became famous one day too.

We went into the "Wax" Musuem and World Records! There was some pretty cool facts! We thought the Wax muesum could be updated! It has a lot of old people in there!

Spring Break 2009

For spring break we took the kids to California! The girls have never flown so we decided to fly instead of drive. (WHAT WERE WE THINKING??)If you know me I HATE flying! I would rather drive 24 hours then fly for two. The fly there wasn't to bad. I wish i could say that for the fly home! We hit a wind storm and you know how that goes. I think Jen has scars from me holding on her so tight.

After we landed we went and got our rental car!
HAHA!! YA RIGHT! The kids were hoping we could drive this car around but then they woke up ;)
Korbin and Kyson were a little bored so we took some snap shots.

Soo.. He got one all by himself!

The first day we got there we went to Six Flags. It was a blast! The kids were so brave and rode every ride! I got sick half way through the day so i couldn't ride all of them.
Kyson got a little sick and had to throw up. Once he did we was fine the rest of the day.
After going on the ride again and again we were all a little sick! We saw this little oxygen bar and Jenica convinced us to do it! (Two years ago Jenica had done this with her friends. Me and Ryan flipped when we found out because we thought it was bad! She kept telling us it wasn't but we didn't believe her! She finally proved us right!) You really have to try an oxygen bar! It really helps your headaches and stomach! Ryan got a little into it as you can see...
Right before we were getting ready to leave the Six Flags Parade started! It was short but very cute!
After going to Six Flags we went swimming in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub. We were all so tired we went back and fell asleep really fast.

"EGG"mazing Race!

Every year I plan an amazing race for both sides of the family. Despite all the stress in turns out to be so fun! This year we did it different. We gave all the clues first and the team had to decide their own route. We went to ten different places from Macey's in Pleasant Grove to the fire station in Cedar Hills. Every team had a camera and had to take pictures of every place! In the picture your group had to have your bunny ears on, your stuff bunny and an egg. If you didn't you would get docked points. We had a blast and look forward to next year!

WALKER SIDE
On the Walker side we divided the teams BOYS and GIRLS. It was a blast! We had all the girls in one car and the boys in two cars. It was so funny to see the boys running with their bunny ears on.

Levin side On the Levin side we did the team different. We got to choose are teams but they couldn't be in the same family. JJ and Brock were with Ty, Lynds and Elsie. They had so fun. They took such cute pictures. Me, Jen and Trev were with Kam, Kathy, Brinnley and Talon. The race was so fun! Ryan and the boys weren't able to make it. They were driving home from vegas! They went down the whole week to wrestle! Once again, Korb did AWESOME! he took 3rd in Grecco and 4th in Freestyle! We are so proud of him!

Leprechaun!!! On St. Patricks Day the leprechaun came and turned everything GREEN!! Everything from our milk to even our bread. Holidays like this our my favorite. Only because the kids get so excited. The leprechaun even left gold all over our yard! The kids had fun looking for the gold!

On Monday we celebrated Dr. Seuss birthday with the daycare kids! This is a tradition for our family! It is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate! For breakfast we had green eggs and ham. The daycare loved having green eggs just like in the book! Then we read books and played Dr. Seuss's games! We decorated cupcakes and sang to Dr. Seuss. After the older kids got home we had the birthday bear come! Some of the kids weren't quite sure about him but when they got to know him they loved it! When the bear left, JJ took the kids out and flew a kites with them!

GIRLS!!! Well, Mostly Mom. The boys are always putting us girls in stupid wrestling moves. So Saturday night we gave them a taste of their own medicine! The girls and I had the boys so scared they were hiding in closets and on top of the bunk beds! If we ever need the boys to do something we know how! :)

A Great Year of Wrestling and Memories, Ends With State!

Korbin had such a great season this year! When Korbin was younger we would take him to State to watch his cousins wrestle, he never moved, he would call the calls before the officials would, he had loved wrestling since he was a small boy. I can not believe it is him at STATE now. He loved being a part of a team!! He worked very hard going to early morning practices each day at 6:00 til 7:15, then to Jr. High, then back to practice from 2:30 til 5:30, keeping his weight at 103 lbs and every weekend at another tournament. We loved watching Korbin each Thursday and then every weekend, We made a ton of memories with him. My favorite thing with Korbin this year was watching him be a part of the team, He would get more excited when one of his team mates would win he would almost go on to the Mat, jumping with excitement. I loved watching him get so excited for his cousin Tanner, it was Tanner's first year wrestling and he made the Varsity team with Korbin. Korbin would cheer him on each match he wrestled and show him moves that he loved. They have became very close through the wrestling season and have memories that will last forever. We are so very thankful to our family and friends who supported Korbin this year, It has been amazing the huge support he had at his wrestling matches, especially region and state. He ended the year taking first at region and fourth at state!

BAD HAIR DAY!

Everyone who made state dyed their hair Black!! Craig Young (who is the team captin and someone who korb looks up to) dyed korbs, Korbin did Tanner's all by himself! Bad idea... When his hair was done it was RED!! We were laughing so hard. Tanner didn't think it was too funny.

KORBIN!!!

Korb did such an awesome job this year! We were so proud of him! Being a freshman, being varsity and taking region is such a great accomplishment!

After we found out Korbin was in the finals, Whitnie and Jechelle went home and made "LEVIN TEAM" shirts for Korb! It took them all day! and They turned out so cute!

Jenica went to her last sweethearts with her boyfriend Trev! She once again got to go with her cousins Tanner and Shelby! Some how everyone in the group was related. She had a blast. When we went shopping for a dress she couldn't find one she liked. So she found one on the internet but it wouldn't ship in time so her Omi made one for her! She spent a lot of time!and it turned out beautiful! THANKS OMI! They went bowling for the day date and then to Prestwich Farms for dinner. After the dance they came to our house and played snorta, (if you don't have this game you NEED to go get it! It is always making our family laugh!)hung out and watched a movie!

Since JJ and Jenica have been little, we have always told them that one day we were going to get boxing gloves and let them go at it!! Well after many of years and a lot of convincing from there two boy friends they let loose. We laughed so hard and they really were not really fighting just another night of good times. When we had to make a decision on the winner it was a tie. Brock voting for JJ and Trev voting for Jen. So it's not just a house of wrestlers it is a house of boxers. They all just box each other when they get a little mad! We should probably stop before someone needs to go to the hospital!

She knew she was in love, The day reality became better than her dreams!!!

This year for my birthday.. January 3rd .. Our Mandie Sue that grew up right before our eyes ( and right down the road for thirteen years ) was married to Craig Evans for all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Mandie has always been a great example to my kids, she is so amazing and we love her with all our hearts. We have many memories with Mandie she has touched our lives in so many ways, but as you will see in these pictures it is her smile that you will never forget. We love you Mandie and Craig and thanks for a wonderful birthday!!!

Okay so zoey was getting pretty shaggy and looking like a little mut, and we didn't really feel like spending money on a dog haircut SOO we took the cheap way out.... we did it ourselves. And actually it didn't turn out THAT bad for our first try, we did have to touch up some spots through out the week, but she doesn't care. If only we could just do that with our own hair and it wasn't such a big deal how it looks!

Today was a very special day at our house! SANTA CLAUS came to visit :) The whole daycare has been counting down the days for him to come. The girls spent the day getting all the kids looking so cute for santa to come see them! When he arrived not one kid was without a smile! Well except the babies, they were pretty scared but it still turned out so freaking cute and we all had so much fun!

This year Korbin made the high school varsity wrestling team. He gets the chance to wrestle with his cousin Tanner! So far its been good. We had our first tournament this week and it was way fun. Korbin went 8-2 and the team took third!! One of Korbins matches was different then usual. He had to wrestle a girl. But not just a girl, she is on the Olympic team, took second in state and is a senior! I was really nervous at first because you teach your boys to treat girls with respect. but then he has to wrestle her? but i came over my fear and let him wrestle! Korbin pinned her in 26 seconds! I was really shocked the bleachers didn't break the whole PG fans jumped and cheered for a very long time! I don't know if he did it for me but either way it helped to get it over fast! :)

Temple Square

This year we went to Temple Square with the Levin side. It was a blast! We rode the tracks up and walked around Temple Square. We also watch the Nativity scence. They did a very nice job! After walking around for ahwile we rode the tracks back home.

For family night the Monday before Halloween we carved pumpkins as a family. We had a lot of fun laughing, joking, play fighting and even pretending to meditate!

Kyson was able to play on the same football team as his cousin Jake. Their team did great. One of Kyson many good plays was catching the football on the second yard line running it ALL the way down to make a touchdown!! We were all so excited we practically ran the field with him! It was awesome! We just want to thank the family for coming a supporting Kyson and his team! We've got the best family around.

JJ got a new calling, she helps me in the sunbeams! So last Saturday we went and supported them in their soccer game, but i dont know if you can really call it "soccer." It is so cute they all basically just run away from the ball and watch it roll onto their feet, some even go the wrong way. We have a total of 13 sunbeams but these are just the ones who play soccer

Jenica's Last Homecoming!!

Jenica went to her last homecoming with her boyfriend Trevor. She was lucky enough to have her two cousins go in her group, Tanner and Shelby. She had really fun. They went to HeeHaws and decorated Haunted Houses and ate pizza to finish up the date. For dinner they ate dinner at Grandma Walkers. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting them use your house! We decorated the patio so cute. After the dance they came to our house and played board games and just had fun.

ZOEY
After moving to our new home about a year and a half ago we had to get rid of our dog Keesha. Our family was SO SAD(ryan was not)! All of us understood why we couldn't keep her but we were still sad. After a year of begging and hoping we would get a new dog we FINALLY did! Her name is Zoey and she is a Tiny Teacup Yorkie. She will be around 2.5-3 pounds full grown! We never thought Ryan would fall in love with a dog. But we were wrong. Sometimes we think he loves her more than us. JUST KIDDING! She is such a cute dog, she is always playing and following us around. Zoey is just another part of the family. Where ever we take her she is never put down. We are so excited Ryan gave in and let us buy this cute dog. Who would blame him though she is sooo cute!

Secondhand Serenade Concert!

About 6 months ago, Tanner introduced us to Secondhand Serenade. Our family listens to it everyday. When we go to the store, church, and even in the house. When we heard Secondhand was coming there would be no doubt that we would be there. A week before the concert Jenica went down to Smithtix and bought the whole family tickets. All the kids got to bring one friend. When we got there it wasn't what we expected. There were kids EVERYWHERE. We walked in and realized that it was going to be a mash pit Me, Ryan, JJ, Brock, Kyson weren't to excited. We decided to go to Texas Roadhouse. Four hours later, we arrived back at the concert thinking we were going to watch Secondhand but we were wrong. We still had to wait another hour till we watched him. Over all it was really fun.

The Final Summer Catch Up

So we've jammed our whole summer into one day of blogging. Sorry about that we just were having so much fun catching up to everyone!

This summer has been so fun for our family. We have been through a lot and did so many different fun things. Three of our favorites would have to be going Ice Blocking and Boating as a family and Lagoon. Everyone races down the hills, avoiding the ones who crash. We have went a ton taking different people each time. Ryan loves when we get to go out to the lake for a couple hours. He thinks it is very funny throwing us around the water like we are rag dolls strapped to a tube. Everyone takes turns rotating out of the tube fighting competion, we seriously have so much fun each and every time! We also went up to Lagoon for a day as family and a few friends. The whole day was too much fun, riding all the rides and laughing til we almost peed our pants at how scared some people were of them. We can't wait to go again! Maybe next time EVERYONE will come!

TREK

This year 3 of our kids were able to participate in a life changing experience. July 22-July 26, JJ, Jenica, and Korbin all dressed up like pioneers to trek across the plains at Martins Cove. Being able to go through a little percentage of what the pioneers did made them all more appreciative of what they have and what others, like the pioneers, did for them. They all left early Tuesday morning to ride the buses up to Martins Cove, Wyoming. The first day wasn't too bad they just rode the buses all day, and only had to push the handcarts for 3.5 miles to reach their camp site. On Wednesday, they woke up and went through the usual morning ritual preparing themselves for a very spiritual day. The first stop on the trail was the Sweetwater Crossing. Here President Henry told the story of the 4 heroes: 4 18 year old young men sacrificed their lives to save and carry many of the pioneers across the river. It was dead winter on this day and there where chunks of ice floating all around them but they still did it. Jenica was able to be carried across by President Henry and feel just a little of what it felt like, it truly was an amazing experience for the both of them. After the crossing they continued to trek up to Martin's Cove and were able to walk on hollowed ground and see where the pioneers had to hide out, keeping themselves as warm as they could with the harsh conditions they were under, waiting for the rescue to come and find them. They heard stories of pioneers losing their lives and loved ones because they froze to death, and even hearing the wolves tearing at the dead bodies was very unbearable. Some of the pioneers even gave up clothing so they could use it to wrap their loved ones bodies high it the trees so the hungry wolves wouldn't be able to touch them. Thursday was Pioneer Day back in Utah. This was very cool for the kids to be going through what they did, on a day where we honor the very men and women who crossed the plains also. Waking up knowing they had to trek 13.5 miles, they knew they were in for it. Not only was this one of the long days, it was one of the most difficult. Thursday was the day the experienced the women's pull. When they reached the biggest hill on the trek they were all hoping that wouldn't be it. But sure enough it was the hill...Korbin had to leave all the girls behind and walk up the hill with all the young men. When they were at the top, the men learned about the importance of women in our church and how they should be respected because without them the priesthood and the gospel couldn't be whole. While the boys where waiting for the girls at the top, they had their own devotional at the bottom. Sister Anderson told the story behind the song As Sisters In Zion They then continued on with singing the song, which brought the spirit in so strong and tears to each young women's eyes. Then finally the young women used all their might to get up the hill with the young men standing right next to them on the trail, hats off in honor, watching them suffer and go through something so strenuous it was unbearable to see the looks on each girls face. After the pull, JJ had found out that Jenica and Korbin were both very dehydrated. This is a time when the three kids had to pull together and be there and show love for one another when it was most needed. Friday was the finally day. The went 15.25 miles mostly uphill on Rocky Ridge, another difficult task but well worth it. It was filled with huge sharp rocks that they had to pull the handcarts over and at the same time keep themselves balanced so they wouldn't fall and get hurt. Several families had to bury their babies along the trial that day. Again, many pioneers lost their lives when they treked this in the snow, without shoes, stubbing their feet on all of the rocks until they were cut, bruised and bleeding. After when they were finally almost to the last campsite They were given a bag a flower and told that was all they were going to get for dinner that night, supplies were low and that is all they had. But when they got there, the "rescue team" was there waiting. Our stake gave the parents of our youth an opportunity to meet the trekers at Rock Creek Hollow and participate in being the Rescue Team for our trek. The parents met the youth at the opening of the camp site cheering for them as they came through. They brought them their meat they were in need of (a huge barbecue feast) That night the parents were able to participate in stories, laughing, games, and the fireside to wrap up the trek. It was really awesome be there for our kids supporting them and being there for them especially after everything we had gone through that week. Especially seeing how four days could impact their lives and make their testimony grow so strong.

Greg and Shelly Wootton; These two people have touched our lives for last nine years, we have been privileged to watch there daughters since then. They were called to be a Ma and Pa on the trek. Even though they were not our children's Ma and Pa they touched their lives extremely with there awesome examples, by the way they live their life. They were there everytime our kids needed them for this we are for ever grateful. We love you Greg and Shelly

JENICA IS SEVENTEEN!!!

Jenica came into our lives with a huge bang!!! She decided to come a month early while Ryan was in California working with his dad. Jenica has brought excitement to our lives ever since. She has always been soft hearted and caring for all those around her. This last summer, two people came into her life that have changed it for the better each day..... Thanks Trevor and Shawn, so for her birthday on July 7th Trevor surprised Jen with a party at trafalga with all her good friends, then took her to dinner at the view, and ended by being the first to wish Jenica a Happy Birthday at midnight on the eighth. Then on the eighth she just hung out with family and her friends. She has grown up so fast from this darling little girl to a beautiful young women. She is always there for everyone in our family and always willing to help all of us. Jenica has made some major decisions in her life that has made her become a better and stronger person, we could not be more proud of her choices. We are thankful to her close friends and family who have made such an influence in her life.

On May 24th of 1985 I recieved on of the greatest gift from my brother that I would ever recieve... A NIECE.... little did I know she would be so much more to me than just a niece, she would become one of my very best friends and the other half of my brain. When Laci was just nine I went with her to Sawyer Brown concert, we waited for hours in the back just to let her get their autographs. Laci would come stay with me every summer for a week or so one of my favorites was when she came with a friend early in her teenage years and we would watch big brother together.. I know not such a great show, but I've been hooked ever since. We have had many memories.. some of my favorites are Lagoon, card playing with her and mckell for hours and sometimes days(we knew how to cheat huh Lac)Of course New York(that story will be for a later blog) and staying up for hours just talkin with Laci, but my most favorite to date is what happened this summer. I would call Laci everyday hoping this little guy was on his way, but when the call came in on June 17th we packed up Grandma Walkers car and Me, JJ, Janeene, Grandma, Lakyn, and Lesli headed to Idaho.
When we got there her doctor had decided to make her go home and wait a while. Well for the next sixty hours we waited.... So we filled the time with memories and fun. Matt took me, JJ, Lakyn, Laci and Janeene to the river to jump in. Matt, JJ and I were the only ones to jump in or fall in, in my case but it was good times.

Then finally that night Laci was able to stay at the hospital, we all stayed the night at the hospital hoping it would be soon, but our little Karter decided to wait til almost 2:00 the next day. It was worth the wait to be there with Laci and Matt. What a wonderful experience to share with the family. I love you Laci and am so grateful to have you be a part of my life each day!

Strawberry Days

Ever since I was a young girl. Strawberry Days has been the highlight of our family summer vacation. I remember getting our new outfits, then having a barbaque with the family. My Mom always made everything so very special for us, she never like the carnival so we would get to go to Lagoon usually the next day. Now we all go the Rodeo with the Levins on Thursday(family night) then we take the day care to Huck Finn on Friday, then it is Saturday with the Walkers. The parade here we come, we usually try to get the kids all matching shirts, this year I dropped the ball but all was good anyways. Kwin usually makes the great comments for us as the parade goes by he keeps us laughing. We always get the most candy thrown at us cause we are the most exciting to come by. Well another year has gone by but we can not wait til next year.

WOW!!! I have a graduate, it has gone by so fast I remember sending her to Kindergarten and wondering if she was going to be all right. She has grown to be such a beautiful daughter we could not ask for more. She had some hard times going to school as a sophmore, yeah she got that from her father. So we had a stressful year wondering if she really was going to do it. But the last month came and she put her mind to it and YES she achieved her goal less than 24 hours before graduation day, but she did it. We are so proud of JJ and the person she is. We are so thankful to our family and the support they have always shown her as she has grown, they have always been there for her and we can not express in words the love and appreciation we have for all of you. THANKS FAMILY, ALL OF YOU, YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!

California, HERE WE COME!

This year for spring break our family decided on the spur of the moment to go to California with some of our cousins, The Sandersons. On Sunday, both families met in Nephi for lunch. Then we drove to Las Vegas where we stayed in The Stratosphere. It was so awesome to have a swimming pool on top of the building. After a hard core game of pool basketball, parents vs. kids, we all got ready, went to dinner, and walked the strip where kyson of course pimped it up with the show girls! But of course that wasn't epic enough for the dads. Ryan and Kelly had the idea of taking everyone to ride the rides on top of the Stratosphere, and eventually they talked most of the kids into it. Jenica, Korbin, Kyson and Shayli all rode big shot on top, while Shelby and JJ stood on the balconly watchin and the moms hung out in the rooms. Shayli, Jen, Ryan and Kelly continued to ride EVERY ride on top even the one that pretends to shoot you off the whole building. The next morning we all woke up and continued the drive to California. When we finally got there that night, we were all so tired we just hung out at the condo, grocery shopped, and ate (what a surprise, we ate ALL THE TIME) Tuesday was Sea World day, and the begining of all of our sunburns. The best thing about sea world was the Atlantis ride, because the shows aren't what they used to be when we were young and amused by the littlest things. Kelly on the other hand thought the best thing was watching us all get wet especially when it was him paying a quarter to squirt us with the gun. Wednesday was they day we went to the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland. We spent the whole day riding all the different rides between both parks, again not as amusing as we thought it would be. Its so good the Sandersons were there to keep us entertained. Thursday was more just a chill out day, we stayed in San Diego and went to the beach, food, swam, food and slept did i mention food, i told you we just can't get enough! "It's a Walker thing". The beach was sooo cold. But despite the cold we still managed to have fun and get in. On Friday we couldnt' really figure out what to do, so when we found out our cousin Kyler had a baseball game in st george we decided why not go home half way and have some fun with our family down south. That night Darin and Les introduced our family to Texas Roadhouse( BAAADD idea, we are addicted now! Thanks a lot!!) well i guess you can say we had a lot of fun. It was really good to get together as a family and spend some quality time together!
